Why Is The Cafe Called 'Dorr to Door?'

The Dorr to Door Cafe is a great place to get your ready-made lunch or dinner, but not everyone knows what the name means. We have even gotten comments from concerned individuals telling us that we spelled "Door" wrong on the sign...and they mean the first word. Fear not! We spelled it right. There is meaning behind the name. Luckily, the sign is correct! It's named after Richard Dorr, and his family. Dorr bought a tiny store in 1960 at age 18 with money he saved working nights and weekends, and built that store into the Niagara Produce you see today. We held a contest on Facebook, and that was the name that won! Other top contenders include: Lettuce Produce Dinner The Dinner Rush Niagara On The Go NP Express That contest was back in August of 2013, and ever since then, "Dorr to Door Cafe" has stuck! The idea of "Dorr to Door" is that we can produce great tasting, high quality, fresh food, and customers can bring the food to their homes and eat with their families. From us, to you.
